Joe, the Plumber

Has anyone considered that Joe may have been a McCain plant at an Obama event? Joe says he was a McCain supporter before he came to the Obama rally If so, why did he attend?. He made it pretty clear that taxes were his main concern. Since he became a celebrity yesterday morning it has been pointed out to him that he will be better off under the Obama tax plan. Yet, he claims to remain a McCain supporter .

I'm amazed at how articulate and at ease Joe seemed to be with the attention he is receiving from the media; most of us wuld be nervous and flustered in such a situation, but not this average Joe. And did John McCain just happen to be so well prepared that he could jump in and introduce Joe? To me it smell a bit like a set up.

Even if I am correct, I don't think there is anything illegal about it. But it does suggest an ethical lapse. Or is it just "politics as usual" in 2008?

Good point, Finley. Why would he be at an Obama rally?  Hmmm....

I don't think he was a plant. I live just down the road from him. He was in the right place at the right time and knew how to word a question with his coaching. How he knew Obama was going to be there is another question... (There is a Keating connection there) There was no sweep before Obama showed up to speak.

He's a LOSER... everyone knows, ask his ex wife or ex girlfriend. Doesn't pay his taxes and asks a totally hypothetical question that Obama handled well.

If McCain thinks he represents the average American, well it's just another sign of how out of touch he is. "Joe The Plumber" does not represent the majority of people here, he is a wannabe.

Now that Newell had to close the door, wonder where Mr. "Big Time" will get a job.
